Good Things are Coming to Bellevue

Vincent Troia, Executive Director of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce is just one of the many citizens of the Bellevue community who is working hard to promote this area as a wonderful place to live and work.  Through the Chamber's web site, Vincent does a great job keeping everyone informed of what's happening that will have an impact. One of those articles recently posted is the news of what's coming to the newly renovated shopping center at the corner of Highway 70 and Old Hickory Blvd. (site of the former Blockbuster location). Five Guys, Game Stop, AT&T store among new Belle Forest center tenants

JAN. 6, 2012 — It appears that the Belle Forest Shopping Center’s renovations will include much more than the oft-rumored Five Guys burger restaurant. A recent flier distributed by Baker Storey McDonald Properties, intended to attract a new business to the last available storefront in the center, detailed the other new tenants.

In the newly constructed building that replaces the demolished former Blockbuster Video site will be a Game Stop, a Farmers Insurance office, an AT&T retail store and the Five Guys. The new plans also show an expansion of the Alley Pub that looks to add about 33% more space.

Also of interest was the demographical data found in the two-page document (found here). Did you know that in a three-mile radius from the Belle Forest center there are nearly 38,000 people with an average household income of $89,000? You do now… if you can trust BSM’s unidentified source.

However, the information is quite positive for the Chamber of Commerce, which believes that new business is always good business for Bellevue.
